Shaheen Afridi Shows His Support To Imran Khan: Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and the country who won the ODI World Cup under his captaincy, was arrested on May 9 from the Islamabad High Court. After this, in support of Imran Khan in Pakistan, till now many former Pakistani players have shown their support against this arrest. Now a name of current Pakistani player Shaheen Afridi has also been added to this list.
Shaheen Afridi has changed his profile photo on his Twitter to the photo of his meeting with Imran Khan. 70 year old Imran Khan was arrested by Pakistani Rangers. Former players Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis, who played under Imran Khan’s captaincy, expressed their support for Imran Khan’s arrest.
Wasim Akram tweeted in protest against the arrest of Imran Khan, writing that you are a person, but you have the power of millions. Stay strong Captain. Waqar Younis also tweeted in support of Imran Khan and wrote that you get more power Imran Khan. Let’s protect our leader and freedom.

Pakistan has so far won the ODI World Cup only once in its cricket history. In the 1992 ODI World Cup played in Australia, Pakistan Imran Khan Under his captaincy, England won by defeating them in the final match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Imran took a total of 7 wickets in the entire tournament, scoring 185 runs.
